ADOAGYIRI ODWIRA FESTIVAL AND 15TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF OKOANADWO AFUTU DOMPREH II 2023 LAUNCHED.

By means of direct communication, dialogue between Tourism Resources Information Centre-TRIC and some traditional leaders of the Nsawam Adoagyiri traditional area were told upon enquiry that, on Thursday 12th January 2023, the deputy director general of management services-Ms. Lilly Djima, staff infrastructure directorate-Ms. Ruzia Awudu,  Head of Internal Audit-Mr. Paul Asare, and  staff from the corporate affairs represented the director general of Ghana Technical and Vocational Education Training Service-TVET, Mawusi Nudekor Awity at the launch of the 2023 Odwira festival in Nsawam Adoagyiri. The festival is a yearly event celebrated by the chiefs and people of Adoagyiri in the Eastern Region.

It was held on the theme “Education, the Way to Accelerated Development at Adoagyiri”

Welcome address by Nana Otuasereboa Safo Kankam(Adoagyiri Mawerehene) expressed gratitude to the dignitaries and citizens of Adoagyiri present to grace the event.

The festival is scheduled to start from 10th to 18th February, 2023.

He added that, the festival would include activities such as clean-up exercises, quiz competitions, cooking competitions, health screening, entertainment/concerts, fundraising and award nights.

A team led by Odiatuo Okatakyie Afrifa(Adoagyiri Abonkomahene) and the deputy director general Ms. Lilly Djima officially unveiled the plaque for the 2023 Odwira festival in Adoagyiri.

Odiatuo Akatakyie Afrifa in his concluding remarks assured Dignitaries, Sponsors and Citizens of a Successful Festival.

In effort to promote domestic tourism, Tourism Resources Information Center-TRIC as part of its community tourism drive entreats all to at least pass through the Odwira festival and ongoing celebrations from 10th February through to 26th February 2023, Nsawam Adoagyiri.
